Cookies are used to make my online offering more user-friendly and effective. Cookies do not directly provide me with knowledge of your identity. Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer.
5.2. My website exclusively uses session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, which allows various requests from your browser to be assigned to the session. 6. Additional Functions and Services of My Website / Integration of Third-Party Services and Content (Plugin Providers)
In addition to purely informational use of my website, I offer various services that you can actively use if interested. To do so, you generally need to provide additional personal data, which will be used to provide the respective service.
6.1. Google Analytics
This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies.” These are text files that are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
6.1.1 IP Anonymization
We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means your IP address will be shortened by Google within the European Union member states or other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activities, and provide additional services related to website usage and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
6.1.2 Browser Plugin
You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, we point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all the features of this website. Additionally, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your website usage (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
6.1.3 Opt-Out from Data Collection
You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set that prevents the collection of your data during future visits to this website: Disable Google Analytics
More information on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en
6.1.4 Data Processing Agreement
We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict guidelines of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
6.1.5 Demographic Features in Google Analytics
This website uses the “demographic features” function of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be generated that include statements about the age, gender, and interests of website visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising by Google and from third-party visitor data. This data cannot be attributed to a specific person. You can deactivate this function anytime via the ad settings in your Google account or generally refuse the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the “Opt-Out from Data Collection” section.
6.2. Privacy Policy on the Use of Google AdWords
The controller has integrated Google AdWords on this website. Google AdWords is an internet advertising service that allows advertisers to place ads in Google search engine results as well as in the Google advertising network. Google AdWords allows an advertiser to predefine certain keywords so that an ad is displayed in Google search results only when the user performs a relevant search query. In the Google advertising network, ads are automatically distributed across relevant websites based on the predefined keywords.
The operator of the Google AdWords services is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.
The purpose of Google AdWords is to promote our website by displaying interest-relevant ads on third-party websites and in Google search results and displaying external ads on our website.
If a person accesses our website via a Google ad, a so-called conversion cookie is set on their information technology system by Google. As explained above, cookies are text files that are stored on the user's computer. A conversion cookie expires after thirty days and is not used to identify the person. If the conversion cookie has not expired, it tracks whether specific subpages, for example, the shopping cart of an online store system, have been visited on our website. Through the conversion cookie, both we and Google can track whether a person who came to our website via an AdWords ad made a purchase or aborted the transaction.
The data and information collected through the conversion cookie is used by Google to create visit statistics for our website. We use these statistics to determine the overall number of users who were referred to us via AdWords ads, to evaluate the success or failure of individual AdWords ads, and to optimize our future AdWords campaigns. Neither our company nor other Google AdWords advertisers receive information that allows the identification of the affected person.
The conversion cookie stores personal information, such as the websites visited by the affected person. Each time someone visits our websites, personal data, including the IP address of the user's internet connection, is transferred to Google in the United States of America. These personal data are stored by Google in the USA. Google may share this personal data with third parties.
The affected person can prevent the setting of cookies by our website, as described above, by adjusting their browser settings. This would also prevent Google from setting a conversion cookie on the affected person’s system. Additionally, any conversion cookies set by Google AdWords can be deleted anytime via the internet browser or other software programs.
Furthermore, the affected person has the option to object to interest-based advertising by Google. To do so, the person needs to visit www.google.de/settings/ads from every internet browser they use and make the desired settings.

7. Newsletter
7.1. If you wish to receive the newsletter, a one-time registration with your email address is required. If you have given your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, I will use your email address to send you my regular newsletter.
In the context of newsletter registration, I describe the contents. If goods and services are advertised, I will specify them in the consent statement. These details are crucial for your consent. Otherwise, I will inform you in my newsletter about the following topics: offers, promotions, news, and information.
7.2. For newsletter registration, I use the so-called double opt-in procedure. After registering, I will send a confirmation email to the email address you provided. In this confirmation email, you will be asked to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter at the specified address. This procedure helps avoid accidental or unauthorized registrations. If you do not confirm your registration within 24 hours, your data will be blocked and deleted after one month. Additionally, I store your IP addresses and the timestamps of registration and confirmation to verify your registration and clarify any misuse of your personal data.
7.3. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your email address. Providing additional, separately marked data is optional. For example, you may provide your name, which I will use to address you personally. After confirmation, I will store your email address for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.
7.4. You can revoke your consent to receive my newsletter anytime and unsubscribe. You can revoke by clicking the link provided in every newsletter email, by sending an email to email@carsten-neumaerker.de, or by sending a message to the contact details in the imprint.
8. Objection or Revocation Against the Processing of Your Data
8.1. If I process your personal data based on legitimate interests according to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you can object to the processing of your personal data under Art. 21 GDPR. In this case, please let me know the reasons—arising from your particular situation—why I should not process your personal data. After reviewing your objection, I will either cease the data processing, adapt it, or continue processing, explaining my compelling legitimate reasons.
8.2. You can object to the processing of your personal data for advertising and/or data analysis purposes at any time without stating reasons. I will comply with your objection; providing reasons is not required.
8.3. If you have given consent for processing your data, you can withdraw it anytime with effect for the future.
8.4. To exercise your right of revocation or objection, please send an email to the following address: email@carsten-neumaerker.de. You can also inform me about your objection or revocation using the contact details in the imprint.
